Certification
IDCA SDS Certification
IDCA SDS (System, Design, Service) certification is intended to validate the interoperability of a complex system, design, or service with complex and mission-critical environments and certify their application and use case per the critical level, scale, and scope of the environment their provider aims to serve.
IDCA’s SDS Certification process involves the full assessment, evaluation, and qualification of a System, Design, or Service for specific use cases and applicability. Upon receipt of the system design, and documentation, IDCA begins evaluating the system to ensure that the product fulfills compliance requirements and standards. After evaluating the product, IDCA either deems the product to be in compliance with requirements and standards or rejects it based on a lack of compliance with those standards. A fee is charged for the administration of evaluations by IDCA.
Key Points

SDS audits cover digital infrastructure technologies. They are not limited to data centers

SDS audits cover the three main aspects of system design and operations

SDS is a unique process with a unique methodology not to be found elsewhere

SDS audits can be applied to the most complex mission-critical environments

Certify your system
A system is a specific technology comprised of varied components that work together in a pre-configured fashion for an intended purpose in the form of hardware, software or both. IDCA provides expert evaluation and certification of tools, systems, components and technologies across the application ecosystem from software applications to virtual and physical IT infrastructure, site, and facility infrastructure equipment.

Certify your Design
A design is a set of drawings and schematics that are devised to implement a complex set of services if executed per its specified metrics and within its required thresholds. IDCA offers design, concept, and architecture certification routes for complex systems, tools, software, and infrastructure across the seven layers of the application, compute, platform, IT infrastructure, site facility infrastructure, site, and topology will be benchmarked against the IDCA compliance requirements.

Certify your service
A service is the management, execution, and delivery of a set of methodologies, processes, and approaches via authorized and skilled resources that together deliver an intended end goal, as claimed by the service provider. IDCA offers service delivery, operations, management, and maintenance certification for quality, reliability, security, efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of such services for the seven layers of the application, compute, platform, IT infrastructure, site facility infrastructure, site, and topology will be benchmarked against the IDCA compliance requirements.

Benefits
In the fast-evolving world of technology and associated services, every technology vendor and service provider make claims of perfection and usefulness. However, through due diligence and careful validation of each System, Design, or Service IDCA will validate not only whether or not a certain product or service meets certain quality KPIs, but also what level of mission-critical application will it have and whether or not the effective use of the proposed offering can be delivered as claimed.

F.A.Q.
How is SDS different from UL/CE certification?
SDS does not test equipment or manufacturer’s product against thresholds such as heat, moisture, etc. SDS reviews a product for its applicability and effective use in varied classification of mission-critical and digital infrastructure realm. Additionally, SDS is not just based on systems. It is evaluating concept designs as well as services being delivered by service providers of all sort to the data center, AI, and cloud community.
