IDCA Outlines Digital Transformation and AI Hubs with Malaysian Ambassador

Washington D.C., November 6, 2025 – An IDCA leadership team led by Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi met this week with H.E. Ambassador Tan Sri Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob to discuss Malaysia's potential as a leading digital economy within the realm of digital transformation and among emerging AI hubs.

His Excellency was recently appointed Ambassador to the United States by the Malaysian government and had invited the IDCA team to discuss its unique and holistic experience on this topic. The parties discussed digital economy roadmaps, human capital empowerment, national governance and digital infrastructure investments, sustainability and growth.

“The critical role of digital infrastructure standards, capacity-building, and readiness frameworks in accelerating national digital economies are all key aspects of building out digital economies, and AI hubs are the foundational drivers of this progress,” according to Economy Counsel and Board Member Dr. Simona Anamaria Marinescu in her remarks to the Ambassador. “Malaysia is committed in accelerating its pace and building digital capacities in the ASEAN region and we find valuable benefits in partnering with IDCA to accomplish our goals,” said H.E. The Ambassador during the discussion.
