IDCA Outlines Digital Economy Development in Meeting with Tunisian Government
Tunis, October 28 2025 – The International Data Center Authority (IDCA) delegation met with members of the Tunisian government in Tunis this week, to discuss the North African nation's potential to build AI centers and develop its Digital Economy.
Key Tunisian policy makers and strategists met the IDCA delegation, joined by heads of IT, cybersecurity, cloud computing and the nation's digital infrastructure. More than 20 agencies were represented in the meetings.
“The nation is a source of talented human capital, rich culture, and a serious candidate for hosting a digital hub,” according to Paryavi. “This historically rich, vibrant nation has the clear potential to become a digital powerhouse, with a strong technology base and tremendous human capital.
Moncef Haddad, IDCA's Global Head of Strategic Investments, added, “Our discussions will propel advancements of the strategic investments that can make Tunisia's potential turn into reality. We see a great opportunity for AI centers and hubs in this key nation, both for its potential in Africa and in reaching across Europe.”
Tunisia is a leading prospect regionally in North Africa and within Africa overall in the IDCA Global Digital Readiness Index of Nations, per the organization's Global Digital Economy Report (2025). An ambitious program to continue to develop the nation's Digital Economy would establish Tunisia as a global leader in Digital Readiness, AI development, creation of valuable IT-related jobs, and delivery of enhanced services to its people.Tunisia is a leader regionally and within Africa overall in the IDCA Global Digital Readiness Index of Nations, per the organization's Global Digital Economy Report (2025).
