Gen AI Company Recogni Signs with IDCA for System, Design, and Service (SDS) Audit

Washington, DC – February 4, 2025 – International Data Center Authority (IDCA) announces that it will be evaluating the data center GenAI inference system from Recogni, based in San Jose, CA, USA and Munich, Germany, through IDCA's SDS (System, Design, Service) audits and certifications, according to a new agreement.  The SDS audit process addresses the key issues associated with cutting-edge complex system, design, and service requirements and validates true delivery abilities that have become mission-critical during the ongoing, global AI data center revolution.

Recogni designs and develops innovative multimodal generative AI inference systems for data centers. At the core of Recogni’s GenAI Inference systems is Pareto, the world’s first logarithmic math numbers system for AI implemented in a purpose-built, 3nm chip. The entire inference system brings together compute, memory, and interconnect to run the world’s largest AI models with 16-bit precision (accuracy) at the cost of 4-bit. This allows data centers and enterprises to offer highest accuracy AI and therefore the most trustworthy and highest quality output at the lowest possible cost.

“AI is the clear driver for the world's Digital Economy, and AI technology at scale is now essential to be at the heart of progressive new data centers,” said IDCA Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi on the occasion of this announcement. “Recogni is one of the few companies in the world with the product confidence, vision and expertise to deliver the technology equal to the task of this scale of development and equal to challenging the current leader in this critical market.”

“At Recogni it is our goal to make high quality yet affordable AI available for everyone,” according to Recogni CEO Marc Bolitho. “By partnering with IDCA for a

comprehensive evaluation of our system, design, and services, we’re reaffirming our commitment to upholding the highest industry standards. This step forward underscores our dedication to innovation, inclusivity, and transforming the potential of AI into real, tangible benefits for all.”

Richard Banta, Chairman of the IDCA Technical Standards Committee stated, “Our technical and compliance teams have been mobilized to evaluate Recogni's AI technology and validate the company’s delivery claims to the highest standards.”

SDS delivers design, concept, and architecture certification routes for complex systems, tools, software, semi-conductors, and infrastructure across the application, compute, platform, IT infrastructure, site facility infrastructure, site, and topology, thus ensuring not only a chip platform's fitness to power AI centers, but to ensure all aspects of the facility are optimized and synchronized for immediate high-performance computing capability.

The AI market, while still in its early stages, is set to expand quickly and reach $377 billion by 2027—with AI inference computing projected to account for 70% of the market volume.  Through trusted and affordable inference, enterprises can make widespread use of AI and drive continuous progress.
