On the occasion of his joining, Richie Edwaru stated, “The IDC-A has delivered outstanding value to a leading network of “data” center and cloud management executives globally. I am honored to join in helping the organization extend best practices beyond application management into actual “data” management. Fair Trade Data principles such as data privacy, data permission and data ethics are now key components to standard organization for which IDCA has taken the lead and I am proud to be a part of the movement. After all, data lives in data centers.”
As founder and CEO of Hu-manity.co, Etwaru is known for pursuing the 31st Human Right “everyone has the right to legal ownership of their inherent human data as property.” He is driven to reshape the world by creating a new data economy, where inherent human data is legally human property.
Mehdi Paryavi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at IDCA stated, “We aim to constantly bring fresh perspectives to the industry. We do not judge individuals by the brand they carry or name of their employer, rather we care for their depth of knowledge, passion for the industry, innovative mindset and appetite for constructive change. The addition of Richie Etwaru is a testimony to our commitment towards this industry’s success, human data rights and privileges, and reinforces our mission to help organizations and individuals alike to preserve the integrity and ownership of their digital footprints. Richie is a well known industry figure and data matter expert who holds a firm belief in IDCA methodologies and approach. Thus we look forward to solving our industry’s complex problems with simplified and practical measures via our extended reach.”
The IDCA Board of Directors (“Board”) is responsible for articulating and upholding the vision, values and mission of the organization. The Board caters effective strategies for the establishment, evolution and sustainability of digital economies around the world. It provides the “data” center, cloud, AI, big data, IoT and information technology community a direct voice into IDCA’s activities and fosters bi-directional interaction with experts, designers, developers, managers, owners, operators, and solution providers. The Board also acts as the steering committee, hence one key endeavor of the Board is to provide supervision, guidance and direction to the IDCA committee and sub-committees. IDCA Board of Directors consists of multiple research committees, representing IDCA’s research and development body, and makes research and recommendations on programmatic issues of interest to IDCA. The Board makes strategic decisions about the direction and faith of “data” center and cloud industry as viewed by IDCA. The Board is ultimately responsible for the management and monitoring of long-term industry goals at the strategic level, verifying soundness with established objectives, and keeping established frameworks accordingly. The Board composition includes carefully elected professionals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives who are passionate for change.
“Bringing the industry’s strongest and brightest to IDCA’s committees, councils and the board of directors and receiving hundreds of applications from experts who want to take part in IDCA’s mission, is truly one of the distinguishing elements of IDCA’s success. The joining of the likes of Richie Etwaru to IDCA’s expresses not only IDCA’s transparent interest in helping the industry, but also industry’s keen interest in helping IDCA”, stated Farhad Mehraban, Director of Public Relations at IDCA.
