IDCA Welcomes Susanna Kass of Baselayer to the Technical Standards Committee

Washington D.C., November 8, 2018: International Data Center Authority (IDCA) today announces that Susanna Kass of Baselayer In.c has joined the IDCA Technical Standards Committee.
Susanna Kass is Executive Vice President, Head of Innovation and Sustainability Strategy at BASELAYER Inc., a startup company that manufactures advanced modular technology for data centers and sustainable energy infrastructure management software for web scale cloud providers, Fortune 500 companies, and Utility providers.
Susanna has a proven track record of entrepreneurship and innovation success for Cloud Computing and Digitalization, Energy, eCommerce, social media and Global Enterprise Transformation. She has held roles including Head of Innovation at NextEra Energy, COO, International Operations at eBay Inc. and Trilliant Network, as well as General Manager at Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems. Susanna is a co-lecturer at Stanford University Sustainability Urbanization Systems (SUS) in School of Engineering, Graduate School of Business (GSB) in Corporate Strategy and SDSU Master of Business Entrepreneur Program.
She has been the recipient of numerous awards including Distinguished GSB Alumna Award in Energy from Stanford University, Distinguished MBA Alumna from Pepperdine University, Distinguished Entrepreneur Award from NMSU, and Presidential Entrepreneur Award from SDSU. Susanna graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program, and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and BS in Computer Science and Business Administration Marketing from SDSU.
About IDCA Technical Standards Committee - Technical Standards Committee represents IDCA’s interest in matters pertaining to standards. The committee is composed of elite members from diverse yet premier data center, cloud and application centric organizations who bring decades of experience to the issues and challenges of the data center industry. Its primary mission is to develop a holistic standards and key performance indicator framework that incorporates well established third party industry standards and KPIs, as well as developing new standards and KPI models where gaps exist in the industry’s standards library to help empower and structure information technology, data centers and cloud.
