IDCA Strategy Counsel and Member of Board of Directors Carlos Tavares said, “We have all been dealing with commercial data center providers for decades now, but Digital Realty’s visit was a good step in bringing this message to the commercial data center world that they are part of what we do as well. It was essential for us to express our assurances that we are planning our standards and principles as well as our educational materials not only around the federal spaces and private end-users of the data center, rather around their commercial spaces too, covering the outsourcing prospects for stakeholders as well.”
IDCA constantly advocates the need for industry specialization amongst data centers and the critical nature for all data centers to be centered around the application and the end-users they are aimed to satisfy. As a matter of culture and principle, IDCA members routinely visit data centers of all shapes and sizes to gather not only the innovations, efficiencies, securities and resiliencies that are focal in each data center, but also emphasize on the ultimate outputs and deliveries these data centers offer their potential audience.
